Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 1|Book 1|Chapter 4
The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, informed me from Abu al-Qasim Jaʿfar ibn Muhammad, from Muhammad ibn Yaʿqub, from Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Hammad, from Hariz, from Zurarah, who said that Abu Jaʿfar عليه السلام said:
Imam عليه السلام said: "It suffices for a woman, when wiping her head, to wipe the front part of it, covering the area of three fingers, and she does not need to remove her head covering."
