Chapter on Obligatory and Recommended Ritual Washing

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَلسِّنْدِيِّ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ:« إِذَا اِغْتَسَلْتَ بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ اَلْفَجْرِ أَجْزَأَكَ غُسْلُكَ ذَلِكَ لِلْجَنَابَةِ وَ اَلْجُمُعَةِ وَ عَرَفَةَ وَ اَلنَّحْرِ وَ اَلذَّبْحِ وَ اَلزِّيَارَةِ فَإِذَا اِجْتَمَعَتْ لِلَّهِ عَلَيْكَ حُقُوقٌ أَجْزَأَهَا عَنْكَ غُسْلٌ وَاحِدٌ» قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ« وَكَذَلِكَ اَلْمَرْأَةُ يُجْزِيهَا غُسْلٌ وَاحِدٌ لِجَنَابَتِهَا وَ إِحْرَامِهَا وَ جُمُعَتِهَا وَ غُسْلِهَا مِنْ حَيْضِهَا وَ عِيدِهَا».
Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub narrated from Ali ibn al-Sindi, from Hammad ibn Isa, from Hariz, from Zurara, from one of the Imams عليه السلام, who said:
Imam عليه السلام said: "If you perform ghusl after the rising of dawn, that single ghusl suffices for janabah, Friday, Arafah, the Day of Sacrifice, slaughtering, and ziyarah. If multiple obligations are due upon you for the sake of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, one ghusl suffices for them all." Imam عليه السلام then said: "Similarly, for a woman, one ghusl suffices for her janabah, ihram, Friday, her ghusl after menstruation, and for Eid."
