Imam عليه السلام said: "The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى (peace be upon him and his family) used to perform wudu with a mudd of water and perform ghusl with a sa‘. A mudd is one and a half pounds (ritl), and a sa‘ is six pounds."
