Chapter on the Rules of Menstruation, Istihadah, and Nifas, and Purification From Them
It is narrated to me by the Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, and Ahmad ibn Ubdun through the aforementioned chain of narration from Ali ibn Al-Hasan ibn Faddal, from Muawiyah ibn Hakim and Amr ibn Uthman, from Abdullah ibn Al-Mughirah, from someone who heard it from the Righteous Servant عليه السلام (Of Allah سبحانه وتعالى), who said:
Imam عليه السلام said: "When a woman becomes pure from menstruation but has not yet come into contact with water (performed ghusl), her husband should not approach her until she performs ghusl. However, if he does, there is no harm in it." Imam عليه السلام added: "For her to come into contact with water is more beloved to me."
