Chapter on the Rules of Menstruation, Istihadah, and Nifas, and Purification From Them
وَ بِهَذَا اَلْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَلْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ اَلْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: فِي اِمْرَأَةٍ حَاضَتْ فِي رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى إِذَا اِرْتَفَعَ اَلنَّهَارُ رَأَتِ اَلطُّهْرَ قَالَ« تُفْطِرُ ذَلِكَ اَلْيَوْمَ كُلَّهُ تَأْكُلُ وَ تَشْرَبُ ثُمَّ تَقْضِيهِ» وَ عَنِ اِمْرَأَةٍ أَصْبَحَتْ فِي رَمَضَانَ طَاهِراً حَتَّى إِذَا اِرْتَفَعَ اَلنَّهَارُ رَأَتِ اَلْحَيْضَ قَالَ« تُفْطِرُ ذَلِكَ اَلْيَوْمَ كُلَّهُ».
By this chain of narration from Ali ibn Al-Hasan, from Ahmad ibn Al-Hasan, from his father, from Ali ibn Uqbah, from his father:
Abu Abdullah عليه السلام was asked regarding a woman who experiences menstruation during (month of) Ramadan and sees purity after the day has progressed. Imam عليه السلام said: "She should break her fast for that entire day, eat and drink, and then make it up later." And regarding a woman who begins (month of) Ramadan in a state of purity but sees menstruation after the day has progressed. Imam عليه السلام said: "She should break her fast for that entire day."
