Chapter on Tayammum and Its Rules

Al-Husayn ibn Sa’id narrated from Safwan ibn Yahya, from Mansur ibn Hazim, from Abdullah ibn Abi Ya’fur, and from Anbasah ibn Mus’ab, from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام, who said: Imam عليه السلام said: "If you come to a well while in a state of janaba (ritual impurity) and you do not find a bucket or anything to draw water with, then perform tayammum with clean earth. Indeed, the Lord عز وجل of water is also the Lord عز وجل of the earth. Do not jump into the well and do not spoil the water for the people."
