Chapter on Rulings on Forgetfulness (Sahw) in Prayer and What Requires Repeating of Prayer

Muhammad bin Ya‘qub narrated from Ali bin Ibrahim, from Muhammad bin ‘Isa, from Yunus bin Abd al-Rahman, from Abdillah bin Sinan: Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said: "If you do not know whether you prayed four or five rak‘ahs, then perform the two prostrations of forgetfulness (‘sajdatay al-sahw’) after your ‘taslim’, then give the ‘taslim’ again after them."
