Sa‘d from Abu Ja‘far from Al-Husayn from Fadalah from Aban from Isma‘il ibn Al-Fudayl, who said:
I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام about wearing leather garments, leather socks (khiffaf), and sandals, and praying in them if they are not from the land of the Muslims. Imam عليه السلام said: “As for the sandals and the leather socks, there is no harm in them.”
