Chapter on What is Permissible to Pray in, from Clothing and Place, and What is Not Permissible to Pray in, from That
Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Yahya, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Dawud al-Sarmi, who said Bashir ibn Bashshar narrated to me, saying:
I asked Him عليه السلام about prayer in garments made from fennec, fur, squirrel, sable, and decorative collars (hawasil) that are hunted in the lands of polytheism or the lands of Islam, whether I may pray in them when not under taqiyyah. Imam عليه السلام said: "Pray in the squirrel and the Khwarazmian collars, and do not pray in foxes or sable."
