Chapter on What is Permissible to Pray in, from Clothing and Place, and What is Not Permissible to Pray in, from That

Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Sa‘id ibn ‘Uqda, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hasan, who said: My father narrated to me, from Abdullah ibn Jamil ibn ‘Ayyash Abu Ali al-Bazzaz, who said: My father informed me, saying: I asked (Imam) Ja‘far ibn Muhammad عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about a garment made by the People of the Book, may I pray in it before it is washed? Imam عليه السلام said: "There is no problem, though it is more beloved to me that it be washed."
