Chapter on the Merit of Prayer, and What is Obligatory and Recommended from It

Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Yahya from Wahb or from Al-Sakuni from Ja‘far from his father, peace be upon them, who said: The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family, said: “Perform voluntary prayers during the hour of heedlessness, even if it is only two light rak‘ahs, for they will bring about the abode of honor.” It was said: “O Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, what is the hour of heedlessness?” He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said: “It is the time between Maghrib and Isha.”
