Chapter on the Prayer Times (Mawaqit)

Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah from Wuhaib ibn Hafs from Abu Basir: Abu Abdillah عليه السلام said: “In residence (when not traveling), the prayer is eight rak‘ahs after the sun has passed its zenith, during the time between you and when two-thirds of a shadow’s length (qamah) passes. When two-thirds of the qamah have passed, you must begin with the obligatory prayer.”
