Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Its Description and What is Obligatory and Recommended
As for what was narrated by Sa'd ibn Abdullah from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Dawud Al-Sarmi, who said:
I asked Abu Al-Hasan Al-Thalith, peace be upon him, and said: “Is it permissible to prostrate upon linen and cotton without dissimulation (taqiyyah)?” Imam عليه السلام said: "It is permissible."
