Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Its Description and What is Obligatory and Recommended

From him, from Ya'qub ibn Yazid from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn Abi Hamzah from Ali ibn Al-Hazawwar from Al-Asbagh ibn Nubatah, who said: When the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, would raise his head from prostration, He عليه السلام would sit until He عليه السلام became calm, then He عليه السلام would stand. So it was said to Imam عليه السلام: “O Commander of the Faithful عليه السلام, Abu Bakr and Umar before you, when they raised their heads from prostration, they would rise on the balls of their feet as camels rise. Commander of the Faithful (Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib عليه السلام), peace be upon him, said: "Indeed, only the coarse people (Ahl al-Jafa) do that; rather, this calmness is part of showing reverence for the prayer." (‘coarse people - Ahl al-Jafa)’; harsh, rough, or lacking refinement in behavior and indifferent to the deeper etiquettes of worship)
