مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ اَلْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ عَنِ اَلنُّعْمَانِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَلسَّلاَمِ عَنْ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَنِ اَلْبُكَاءِ فِي اَلصَّلاَةِ أَ يَقْطَعُ اَلصَّلاَةَ قَالَ« إِنْ بَكَى لِذِكْرِ جَنَّةٍ أَوْ نَارٍ فَذَلِكَ هُوَ أَفْضَلُ اَلْأَعْمَالِ فِي اَلصَّلاَةِ وَ إِنْ كَانَ ذَكَرَ مَيِّتاً لَهُ فَصَلاَتُهُ فَاسِدَةٌ»
Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub from Ali ibn Muhammad from Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad from Sulayman ibn Dawud from Al-Nu'man ibn Abd Al-Salam from Abu Hanifah, who said:
I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, about crying during prayer, does it invalidate the prayer? Imam عليه السلام said: "If he cries due to the remembrance of Paradise or Hellfire, then that is the best of deeds in prayer, but if he cries because of remembering a deceased person of his, then his prayer is invalid."
