Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ibn Abi Umayr from Hammad from Al-Halabi:
Abu Abdillah عليه السلام (was asked) regarding a man who is behind the imam (of prayer) and the imam (of prayer) prolongs the tashahhud. Imam عليه السلام said: "Those behind him may say the taslim and proceed to their needs if they wish."
