Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Its Description and What is Obligatory and Recommended
Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Uthman ibn Isa from Sama'ah who said:
I asked Imam عليه السلام about a man who is standing in obligatory prayer and remembers his pouch or some of his belongings, fearing their loss or ruin. Imam عليه السلام said: "He should cut off his prayer, secure his belongings, and then start his prayer anew." I asked: “If he is in obligatory prayer and his animal breaks loose and he fears it might be lost or cause harm” Imam عليه السلام said: "There is no harm if he cuts off his prayer."
