Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Its Description and What is Obligatory and Recommended
Ali ibn Ibrahim from Muhammad ibn Isa from Yunus ibn Abd Al-Rahman from Abdullah ibn Sinan who said:
I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام about a man who hears a verse of prostration being recited. Imam عليه السلام said: "He should not prostrate unless he is attentively listening to the recitation or praying behind the one who is reciting. But if he is praying in one area and you are in another, then do not prostrate for what you heard."
