Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Its Description and What is Obligatory and Recommended
Al-Husayn ibn Sa'id from Uthman ibn Isa from Sama'ah:
He said: "Whoever recites ‘Iqra' bismi Rabbik’ (Surah Al-‘Alaq), when he finishes it, he should prostrate, and when he stands up, he should recite the ‘Opening of the Book’ (Surah Al-Fatiha) and then bow." He said: "And if you are tested with this situation while praying behind an Imam who does not perform the prostration, then gesturing and bowing suffices for you, and do not recite it in an obligatory prayer; recite it in a voluntary prayer."
