Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Its Description and What is Obligatory and Recommended
Ali ibn Mahziyar from Al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from Muhammad ibn Abi Hamzah from Mu'awiyah ibn Ammar:
I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about reciting behind the Imam (of prayer) in the last two rak'ahs. Imam عليه السلام said: "The Imam (of prayer) recites the ‘Opening of the Book’ (Surah Al-Fatiha), and those behind him should glorify (say tasbih). If you are praying alone, then you may either recite (Surah Al-Fatiha) in them or, if you wish, you may glorify."
