Ali from his father from Hammad ibn Isa from Hariz from Zurarah from Abu Ja'far عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
I said to Him عليه السلام: “Shall I prostrate upon zift, meaning tar?” Imam عليه السلام said: "No, and not upon a garment of cotton, nor upon wool, nor upon anything from an animal, nor upon food, nor upon anything from the fruits of the earth, nor upon anything from feathers."
