Chapter on the Rulings on Forgetfulness (Ahkam al-Sahw)

Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Sayf ibn Umayrah from Bakr ibn Abi Bakr, who said: I said to Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him: “Sometimes I doubt in the surah, I do not know whether I have recited it or not, so I repeat it.” Imam عليه السلام said: "If it is a long surah, then no, do not repeat it. But if it is a short surah, then repeat it."
