Narrated by Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr from Abd al-Rahman ibn Salim from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar, who said:
I said to Abu Abdillah عليه السلام: "Inform me about the best time for the Fajr prayer." Imam عليه السلام said: "At the time of the rising of the dawn. Indeed, Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Exalted, says: ‘'Indeed, the recitation of Fajr is witnessed'‘ (Surah Isra 17:78), meaning the Fajr prayer is witnessed by the angels of the night and the angels of the day. So when the servant performs the morning prayer at the time of the rising of the dawn, it is recorded for him twice, the angels of the night record it and the angels of the day record it."
