Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Explanation of the Fifty-One Rak‘ahs; The Order, Recitation, Tasbih in Bowing and Prostration, Qunut, and What is Obligatory and Recommended Therein

Muhammad ibn Ya‘qub from a group of our companions from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Amr ibn Uthman from Muhammad ibn ‘Udhafir, who said: I entered with my father upon Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, and my father asked Him عليه السلام about the Tasbih of Fatimah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, peace be upon her. Imam عليه السلام said: ‘Allahu Akbar’ - Until He عليه السلام counted thirty-four times. Then Imam عليه السلام said: ‘Alhamdulillah’ - Until He عليه السلام reached sixty-eight. Then Imam عليه السلام said: ‘Subhanallah’ - Until He عليه السلام completed one hundred. He عليه السلام would count them with his hand all together as one sequence.”
