And from him, from Muhammad ibn Yahya from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn Mahziyar from Yahya ibn ‘Imran al-Hamdani who said:
I wrote to Abu Ja‘far عليه السلام, peace be upon him; “May I be your ransom, what do you say about a man who begins with ‘Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Rahim’ in his prayer, alone, in Surah al-Fatiha, but when he reaches a different Surah after al-Fatiha, he omits it? The ‘Abbasid (official) said: ‘There is no harm in that.’” So He عليه السلام, peace be upon him, wrote in His عليه السلام own handwriting: “He must repeat it twice, despite his nose.” This was meaning the ‘Abbasid (so the nose of that ‘Abbasid, who claimed there was no harm, be rubbed in the dust).
