وَ قَالَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ:« نَوْمَةُ اَلْغَدَاةِ مَشُومَةٌ تَطْرُدُ اَلرِّزْقَ وَ تُصَفِّرُ اَللَّوْنَ وَ تُقَبِّحُهُ وَ تُغَيِّرُهُ وَ هُوَ نَوْمُ كُلِّ مَشُومٍ إِنَّ اَللَّهَ تَعَالَى يَقْسِمُ اَلْأَرْزَاقَ مَا بَيْنَ طُلُوعِ اَلْفَجْرِ إِلَى طُلُوعِ اَلشَّمْسِ وَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَ تِلْكَ اَلنَّوْمَةَ وَ كَانَ اَلْمَنُّ وَ اَلسَّلْوَى يَنْزِلُ عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مَا بَيْنَ طُلُوعِ اَلْفَجْرِ إِلَى طُلُوعِ اَلشَّمْسِ فَمَنْ نَامَ تِلْكَ اَلسَّاعَةَ لَمْ يَنْزِلْ نَصِيبُهُ وَ كَانَ إِذَا اِنْتَبَهَ فَلاَ يَرَى نَصِيبَهُ اِحْتَاجَ إِلَى اَلسُّؤَالِ وَ اَلطَّلَبِ»
And (Imam) al-Sadiq عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said: "The sleep of the early morning is ominous, it drives away sustenance, makes the complexion pale, uglifies and alters it. It is the sleep of every unfortunate one. Indeed, Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Exalted, distributes sustenance between the rising of the dawn and the rising of the sun. So beware of that sleep. The manna and quails used to descend upon the Children of Israel between the rising of the dawn and the rising of the sun. So whoever slept during that hour, his portion would not descend, and when he awoke, he would not find his portion, and would be in need of begging and seeking."
