Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Explanation of the Fifty-One Rak‘ahs; The Order, Recitation, Tasbih in Bowing and Prostration, Qunut, and What is Obligatory and Recommended Therein

What was narrated by Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Musa ibn al-Qasim from Ali ibn Ja‘far from his brother (Imam) Musa ibn Ja‘far عليه السلام, peace be upon them, said: I asked Him عليه السلام about a man who recites the same Surah in both rak‘ahs of the obligatory prayer while he is able to recite others, if he does so, is there anything upon him? Imam عليه السلام said: “If he can recite other than it, then he should not do it. But if he cannot recite other than it, then there is no harm.”
