Muhammad ibn Ya‘qub from Ali ibn Ibrahim from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad ibn Uthman from al-Halabi: Abu Abdillah عليه السلام said: “When you go into prostration (sujud), say the takbir (Allahu Akbar), and say: ‘O Allah سبحانه وتعالى, to You عز وجل I have prostrated, in You عز وجل I have believed, to You عز وجل I have submitted, upon You عز وجل I have relied. You عز وجل are my Lord عز وجل. My face has prostrated to the One عز وجل who created it, and who split open its hearing and sight.’ ‘All praise belongs to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, Lord عز وجل of the worlds.’ ‘Blessed is Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the best of creators.’ Then say: ‘Glory be to my Lord عز وجل, the Most High, and with His عز وجل praise,’ three times. Then when you raise your head, say between the two prostrations: ‘O Allah سبحانه وتعالى, forgive me, have mercy on me, mend me, repel from me (what harms me), and grant me well-being. Indeed, I am in need of whatever good You عز وجل may send down to me.’ ‘Blessed is Allah سبحانه وتعالى, Lord عز وجل of the worlds.’”
