Al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadhala from al-Husayn from Zayd al-Shahham, and Ibn Abi Umayr from Abu Ayyub from Zayd al-Shahham, who said: I said to Abu Abdillah عليه السلام: “Is the opening (of the prayer) with one Takbir?” Imam عليه السلام said: “One Takbir suffices for you.” I asked: “And the seven (Takbirs)?” Imam عليه السلام said: “That is extra merit.”
