Chapter on the Detailed Explanation of Prayer, Including the Obligatory and Recommended, and What is Permissible and Not Permissible.
Al-Husayn ibn Sa’id from Ya’qub ibn Yaqtin, who said:
I asked the Righteous servant (Abd al Salih عليه السلام): “About a man who prays on a cloudy day not facing the Qiblah, then the sun appears while he is still within the prayer time, should he repeat the prayer if he had prayed not facing the Qiblah? And if he had made every effort to determine the Qiblah, does his prayer suffice?” Imam عليه السلام said: "He must repeat it as long as the time remains. But if the time has passed, then there is no repetition upon him."
