اَلْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي اَلْحَسَنِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ اَلرَّجُلِ يُصَلِّي وَ هُوَ جَالِسٌ فَقَالَ« إِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ وَ أَنْتَ جَالِسٌ وَ يُكْتَبَ لَكَ بِصَلاَةِ اَلْقَائِمِ فَاقْرَأْ وَ أَنْتَ جَالِسٌ فَإِذَا كُنْتَ فِي آخِرِ اَلسُّورَةِ فَقُمْ فَأَتِمَّهَا وَ اِرْكَعْ فَتِلْكَ تُحْسَبُ لَكَ بِصَلاَةِ اَلْقَائِمِ»
Al-Husayn ibn Sa’id, from Safwan ibn Yahya, from Hammad ibn Uthman, from Abu al-Hasan عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
I asked Him عليه السلام about a man who prays while sitting. Imam عليه السلام said: "If you want to pray while sitting and have it counted for you as the prayer of one who stands, then recite while sitting. When you reach the end of the surah, stand up, complete it, and bow. That will be counted for you as the prayer of one who stands."
