Sa’d ibn Abdullah from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from al-Hakam ibn Miskin from al-’Alaʾ from Muhammad ibn Muslim: Abu Ja’far عليه السلام (was asked) regarding a man who, after prostrating, doubts whether he bowed. Imam عليه السلام said: "If he becomes certain, then let him disregard the two prostrations that have no bowing associated with them, and let him continue his prayer to completion. But if he only becomes certain after he has finished and exited the prayer, then let him stand and pray one rak’ah and two prostrations, and there is nothing upon him."
