Chapter on the Detailed Explanation of Prayer, Including the Obligatory and Recommended, and What is Permissible and Not Permissible.
What was narrated by Sa’d from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Ja’far ibn Bashir from Hammad ibn Uthman from Hakam ibn Hukaym, who said:
I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام about a man who forgets a rak’ah, or a prostration, or something from his prayer, and then remembers afterward. Imam عليه السلام said: "Let him make up exactly that which he missed." So I asked: "Should he repeat the entire prayer?" Imam عليه السلام said: "No."
