Chapter on the Detailed Explanation of Prayer, Including the Obligatory and Recommended, and What is Permissible and Not Permissible.

As for what was narrated by Sa‘d, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id, from Muhammad ibn Sinan, from Abdullah ibn Muskan, from Muhammad ibn Ali al-Halabi, who said: I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about a man who errs in prayer and forgets the tashahhud. Imam عليه السلام said: "He should return and recite the tashahhud." I asked: “Should he perform the two prostrations of forgetfulness (sajdatay al-sahw)?” Imam عليه السلام said: "No, there are no prostrations of forgetfulness in this case."
