Chapter on the Virtue of Congregational Prayer

And from him, from al-Nadr, from Abdullah ibn Sinan, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, he said: I heard Imam عليه السلام say: “The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family, prayed the dawn prayer. Then, He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم turned his face to his companions and asked about some people, mentioning them by their names. Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said: ‘Did they attend the prayer?’ They (companions) said: ‘No, O’ Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى.’ Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said: ‘Are they absent?’ They said: ‘No.’ Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said: ‘Indeed, there is no prayer more burdensome upon the hypocrites than this (Fajr) prayer and the evening prayer. And if they knew what virtue is in them, they would come to them even if crawling.’”
