Chapter on the Rulings of Congregational Prayer (the Minimum Number for Congregational Prayer, the Description of the Imam, Who Is to Be Followed and Who Is Not to Be Followed, Recitation Behind Both of Them, the Rulings of Those Led in Prayer, and Other Such Rulings Related to It)

Sa’ad ibn Abdillah narrated from Musa ibn al-Hasan and al-Hasan ibn Ali from Ahmad ibn Hilal from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr from Abu al-Hasan al-Ridha عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: I said to Imam al-Ridha عليه السلام: “I enter with these people in the Maghrib prayer, and they hasten me such that I do not give the adhan and the iqamah, and I do not recite except ‘al-Hamd’ (Surah al-Fatihah) until they bow does that suffice me?” Imam عليه السلام said: “Yes, ‘al-Hamd’ (Surah al-Fatihah) alone suffices you.”
