Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Yahya narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Hammad ibn Uthman, from Ubaydullah ibn Ali al-Halabi, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said regarding a man who led a group in prayer and prayed one rak’ah with them, then died. Imam عليه السلام said: “They should appoint another man, count the rak’ah (that was prayed), lay the deceased behind them, and whoever touched him must perform ghusl (ritual washing).”
