Al-Husayn ibn Said from Ibn Abi Umayr and Fadalah from Jamil, who said:
I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about the takbir in the two Eid prayers. Imam عليه السلام said: “Seven and five.” And Imam عليه السلام said: “The prayer of the two Eids is an obligation (faridah).” I asked Imam عليه السلام what is recited in them. Imam عليه السلام said: “’By the sun and its morning brightness’ (Surah Ash-Shams) and ‘Has there come to you the report of the overwhelming event’ (Surah Al-Ghashiyah) and those (Surah) like them.
