And Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from al-Hasan ibn Mahbub from Abi Jamilah from Jabir from Abu Ja’far عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: Imam al-Baqir عليه السلام said: “When the Commander of the Faithful عليه السلام, peace be upon him, used to pronounce the Takbir during the two Eids, He عليه السلام would say between every two Takbirs; ‘I bear witness that there is no God but Allah سبحانه وتعالى, alone, without partner, and I bear witness that (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم is His عز وجل servant and His عز وجل messenger, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family. O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, Possessor of Majesty’” And Imam عليه السلام mentioned the supplication to its end, as previously stated.
