Muhammad ibn Yaqub from Ali ibn Ibrahim from his father from Ibn Abi Umayr from Zurarah, who said that Abu Ja’far عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said:
Imam al-Baqir عليه السلام said: “There is no adhan and no iqamah on the Day of Fitr and the Day of Adha. Their ‘adhan’ is the rising of the sun when it rises, they go out. And there is no prayer before them nor after them. And whoever does not pray with the (just) imam in congregation, there is no prayer for him, and no make-up (qada) is required of him.”
