Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajjaj, from Abu al-Hasan al-Awwal عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
Imam al-Kadhim عليه السلام said regarding a man who performs supererogatory prayers (al-nawafil) in cities, while on his riding animal, in whatever direction it turns him. Imam عليه السلام said: “Yes, there is no harm in it.”
