Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Hammad, from al-Halabi, from Abu Abdillah
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family, when He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم was on a journey or if a need hastened him, He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم would combine between the noon (Dhuhr) and afternoon (Asr) prayers. And (He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم would combine) between the sunset (Maghrib) and the final night (Isha al-akhira) prayers.” He (al-Halabi) said: “Then Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said; ‘There is no harm in performing the final night prayer early, during travel before the twilight (shafaq) disappears.’”
