Sa’ad from Ibrahim ibn Hashim from Isma'il ibn Marrar from Yunus ibn Abd al-Rahman from Abdillah ibn Sinan from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “The mule driver (al-makari), if he does not stay in his home for more than five days or less, then he shortens (the prayer) during his travel in the daytime and completes it at night, and he is obligated to fast the Month of Ramadan. But if he has a residence in the town, to which he travels, where he stays for ten days or more, then he shortens (the prayer) during his journey and breaks his fast.”
