Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Yahya, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Sayyari, from one of the people of al-Askari, said:
There came a statement from Abu al-Hasan عليه السلام, peace be upon him: “Indeed, the hunter (sahib al-sayd) shortens (the prayer) as long as he is on the main road (al-jaddah). But when he deviates from the main road, he performs the full prayer. Then, if he returns to it, he shortens again.”
