Chapter on the Prayer During Travel

Sa’ad ibn Abdillah, from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn, from Safwan ibn Yahya, from Iys ibn al-Qasim, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: I asked Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام about a man who prayed while he was traveling, but completed the prayer in full. Imam عليه السلام said: “If it is still within the time, then he should repeat it (as shortened prayer), and if the time has passed, then no (meaning he does not repeat the prayer).”
