Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Yahya ibn Zakariyya, from his father Zakariyya ibn Musa, from al-Qasim ibn Ubaydullah al-Qummi, said:
I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام about a man who prays over a funeral alone. Imam عليه السلام said: “Yes (it is allowed).” I asked: “And what if two pray over it?” Imam عليه السلام said: “Yes (it is allowed), but the other should stand behind the one leading, and not stand beside him.”
