Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn Hadid and Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Najran from Hurayz from Zurarah: I said to Abu Ja’far عليه السلام, peace be upon him: “May a woman lead women in prayer?” Imam عليه السلام said: “No, except over the deceased, if there is no one more appropriate than her (to lead the prayer). She stands in the middle of them in the (same) row with them, and says the takbir, and they say the takbir.”
