Chapter on the Virtue of Mosques and Prayer Within Them, and the Virtue of Congregational Prayer and Its Rulings
From him, from Ahmad ibn al-Hasan, from Amr ibn Sa'id, from Musaddiq ibn Sadaqah, from Ammar al-Sabati, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام was asked about a man who gives the adhan and the iqamah to pray alone, then another man comes and says to him, ‘Let us pray in congregation.’ Is it permissible for them to pray with that same adhan and iqamah? Imam عليه السلام said: “No, rather he should give the adhan and the iqamah again.”
