Ahmad from al-Barqi from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Imam Ja’far عليه السلام, from his father عليه السلام, from his forefathers, from Imam Ali عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
Imam Ali عليه السلام, peace be upon him, passed by a tall minaret and ordered it to be demolished. Then Imam عليه السلام said: “A minaret is not to be raised except to the level of the roof of the mosque.”
