Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Dhubyan ibn Hakim from Musa ibn Ukayl al-Numayri from Ibn Abi Ya'fur from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family, intended to burn the homes of a people who used to pray in their houses and did not attend the congregational prayer. Then a blind man came to Him صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and said: ‘O’ Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, I am blind of sight, and sometimes I hear the call but do not find anyone to lead me to the congregation and prayer with you’. So the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family, said to him: ‘Tie a rope from your house to the mosque and attend the congregation.’”
